We’re Byrd’s tragic’s and this song is really inspired by them. It’s about a relationship between two people where one doesn’t understand the other. It’s hard to get past things that have happened once the well has been poisoned. It’s portrays not being able to change when you know you really should. When we were in the studio working with Dom Mariani we got chatting about the middle 8 echoing The Byrd’s “8 Miles High, it took a long time to nail it and it’s a real standout part on the album. Backwards 12 string and a brilliantly written chords structure to allow it to twist and turn like it does.
